Mark Lanegan - Blues Funeral

'Blues Funeral' is the seventh album by the legendary Mark Lanegan. We sourced the front cover image from the design library's extensive archive of antique, vintage and modern textile designs. Visiting its archive was an inspiring experience. The black on black pattern features throughout the booklet. The floral theme of the album was carried through into the singles campaign.

Some people were surprised by the use of flowers on this sleeve due to the nature of the music - but it captured lots of attention and was nominated for:
